LANSING — Looking to spy on your children without those worrisome legal ramifications?

The Michigan House recently approved legislation allowing parents, foster parents and guardians to eavesdrop on their children’s phone conversations and electronic devices without fear of consequences.

State Rep. Peter Lucido, R-Shelby Township, sponsor of House Bill 4891, says this so parents and/or guardians can better protect their families.

“Parents, foster parents and guardians are and should be responsible for their children, and the opportunity to listen to the conversations is a good way to prevent children from serious danger,” said Lucido. “We must remain vigilant to ensure the safety of our children and our communities.”
